These emotions do not only arise after seeing the loss of life and property, but also the reactions and statements of our revered ‘politicians’.After this horrendous terror attack, RR Patil carelessly remarked, “These things do happen once in a while in big cities.” Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has dismissed protestors as ‘lipstick terrorists’ and Kerala CM VS Achutanandan’s thoughtless comment about the slain soldier, Sandeep Unnikrishnan, that ‘his home would not even be glanced by a dog’ has caused public furore. While Vilasrao Deshmukh took his son and film maker Ram Gopal Varma on a sight seeing tour of the destroyed Taj, Raj Thackeray and his wife, Sharmila Thackeray are trying to promote party politics. The senseless comments and actions have disco Signs of Cheating nnected the audience and the political elite. The outrage has been evident from people demanding the resignations of these netas. But my question is: Why do we vote when our so called representatives can’t take accountability for us? Why do we waste our time voting for a government that doesn’t even care for us and has no sympathy for the people who lose their lives in catastrophes like this? I would like to strongly request the Indian junta to not to cast any votes till the politicians learn to protect the Indian citizens.Hundreds of people and soldiers lose their lives in situations like this. How is it that a politician never loses his life? The country spends crores of rupees providing top security to them, who walk around with inflated egos.
